The "Introduction"
People often ask what PRATS do in the summer (actually I've never been asked
- I think they're frightened that they just might not want to know!), In
fact it's simple really, we turn to croquet. Same basic format, we play on Friday nights, (for as short a period as we can get away with!) then
retire as quickly as possible to an eating establishment or pub (preferably
both!).
The only problem is that the croquet is more demanding than the squash.
At least in squash all you is run round a bit, but croquet? Well croquet
requires the deviousness of a fox, the stamina of a race horse and the killer
instinct of a cat! My god! we have to use are brains! And who said
it was a not contact sport?
A few piccies are provided below, simply click on an image to enlarge.
| Our top PRIC, at squash he is
merely the General but in croquet he is the Field Marshall - well we play
on his field, with his equipment so I guess he can be anything he likes! |

Del Boy demonstrating his classic
tactic . . . . by firmly and repeatedly
leaning on the mallet it's possible to create a groove from the hoop all
the way to the ball! |
| The firmness of the grip, the
"I've got something down my trousers stance" and the determined
look. Classic Nudge Nudge. Pity the ball ended up in the back
of the Field Marshall's Volvo! |

| Who roqued whose balls?
In fact Two Bounce won this argument . . . . well he
did have the mallet!
