Dear Members,

On Friday, the 26th September the society visited one of our perennial favourite venues, Wyboston Lakes. It always seems to be lovely weather when we go there and this time was no exception! After a foggy start 20 players teed off to try to score as many points as possible and at the same time to visit the water as little as possible!

Well the winner, Martin Brooks, clearly did that, as he won with an extremely good score of 43 points! He was also the nearest the pin. Well done Martin! Runner up with 37 points was Andy Wilshere and Mark Harwood won the longest drive (a “monster” he modestly told me!). Adrian Muxlow carried off “the bull”. Congratulations to all competitors and particularly the prize winners!

The next society day will be on Sunday the 30th November for our usual “Christmas” 2 club and putter competition at Mount Pleasant, Stondon. This is a couple of weeks earlier than previous years. As usual look out for further details and sign up sheets at “The Fox” and “The Motte and Bailey”
