General notes on Hanscombes

The following is general information provided by Rita Woodcock (4th February 2004)
These are grave inscriptions for Hanscombe at Shillington.
In ever loving memory of a dearly beloved wife and mother Amy Handscombe who
passed on January 5th 1948 aged 35 yrs
She ever lives in our hearts of those that loved her also of a dear husband and
father Edward George Handscombe who passed
on July 19th 1984 aged 74 yrs forever in our thoughts.
In loving memory of William Hammond Hanscombe who died on 29th December 1952
aged 75 yrs and also of his sister Helen Mary
Hanscombe who died on the 30th December 1955 aged 81 yrs
In loving memory of Frances Anne Bodley Hanscombe who died on 19th September 1935 aged 88 yrs widow of William Hanscombe late of Pirton Hall Hertfordshire.
In loving memory of Michael Ashley Hanscombe who passed into gods keeping on March 8th 1945 aged 16 yrs
In loving memory of Hugh James Hanscombe who died 13th December 1928 aged 48 yrs third son of William Hanscombe of Pirton Hall Herts - also of his wife Doris Christine Ashley Hanscombe died 31st July 1962 aged 63 yrs.
In loving memory of Annie Frances Hanscombe who died on 20th May 1953 aged 79 yrs also her maternal aunt Helen Martha Bodley Dawe who died on 31st July 1937.
