Congratulations on a wonderful site.
My second great grandfather and grandmother were landlords of The Fox Inn, Pirton in the 1800's James Furr and Mary Lake.
I know very little about them other than when they were born (and died in Mary's case) and their children: Caroline Elizabeth (my great grandmother), Harriet, Mary Ann, Frederick, Ellen Rose, Elizabeth Barbara, Joseph, and Elizabeth.
Incidentally when we visited The Fox a couple of years ago the present landlord told us of a lady ghost that frequented the upstairs rooms of the inn, who apparently didn't like men - ? Mary).
I have a fairly extensive Furr Family Tree which I am willing to share with anyone who may think that it will be of interest.
The names I am interested in are FURR, DOWSON, LAKE, WORSLEY, ROBERTS, MALES, DAVIS.
