for the heaviest pumpkin grown by a member (King Pumpkin)

2   Novice Prize

for the heaviest pumpkin grown by a member who has not previously won a prize in Club competitions.

3   Matched pair

2 pumpkins grown by a member, which in the opinion of the judges are the best match, (not necessarily the heaviest).

5   Adult Decorated Pumpkin

best decorated pumpkin by an adult

6   Family Decorated Pumpkin

best decorated pumpkin, family effort.

7   Arrangement of Gourds

best flower arrangement which includes Pumpkins, squashes or Gourds

9   Sunflower Head

largest diameter sunflower head

10 Biggest Pumpkin Cheat

for the best cheating entry (not necessarily the heaviest).

Entries should be delivered to the Village Hall between 10:30 - 12:00pm on the day.  Deliveries outside of those times or help with collection (exceptional circumstances only!) by special arrangement - call Jonty 711383

Rules

The decision by the Judge(s) is absolute and final

bullet

One prize only per person, per class, per pumpkin

bullet

All exhibits not cleared from the hall after presentation of the prizes is completed, or collected on Sunday between 9:30 & 10:30am will be disposed of.

All entries must be free of mud (unless cheating!)

bullet

The Pumpkin Club reserves the right to move any exhibit to a different class if they feel that such action is appropriate, e.g. the cheating class etc.

bullet

The organisers reserve the right to amend, combine or cancel classes e.g. if insufficient entries are received

bullet

No bribes will be accepted unless given in large quantities of used notes! Or copious quantities of bitter.
