Pirton Village Design Statement |
MINUTES OF MEETING
HELD ON TUESDAY 27TH APRIL 2003 AT PIRTON SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB
IN ATTENDANCE:

Attendees had previously been circulated with b & w copy
of the VDS with photos, etc. All commented upon the excellent near final draft.
The colour edition looked very good
Any changes to the body of the VDS were noted by Sharon.
Chris showed the cover. The publisher and copyright info should be on back and the inside of front cover. ISBN no on inside front cover.
Index: Numbers to be lined up; colour codes for page nos. will tie in with the actual heading on pages.
Sharon to trial:- headings in colour,” italic bold” in colour; “italic” in another colour for next meeting: maybe leave “bold italic” in b/w. Also to trial headings in larger typeface.
Captions to be added to some pictures.
All felt we needed picture of Village Hall. Chris said it photographs badly. Suggetion to ask Jo Titmus for a sketch (Rodney to pursue).
Suggested that the “plaiters logo” should be placed (very small) at end of each section. Sharon to trial.
Page 11 Chris to add picture of recreation ground.
Page 9 refers to “below” – will be replaced with “page 10”
The map – needed for 2 May, Bren to follow up with Helen Leitch on 28.4.03. Format digital A3, 300 DPI, pc format, on CD.
Need to clarify web address, 2 different ones at present. (Jonty confirm to Sharon please).
ISBN no. on back cover. 0-903538-43-1.
North Herts logo to also appear on back outside cover. Bren to pursue at same time as map.
